Overall, this is a great product, especially for the cost compared to other yoga ball on . You get the product pretty much as described. My review is mostly about the sizing.I initially purchased the "48-55cm, M" as a replacement for my wife's yoga ball chair, as it needed a 52cm. When placed into the chair and aired up, at 52cm it was very soft and not very stable (pictured up close sitting on it). Airing out up more, only made it harder to fit into the chair (pictured not fitting).Thinking perhaps 52cm was incorrect, we decided to purchase the "38-45cm, S" but that was way too small, even aired up all the way (pictured sitting in the chair divot). So we went back to the 48-55cm, M. While it was a bit too squishy, we added a folded towel to the top and that gave it a little more heft and stability that made it usable. Then we covered it all with one of her floor pieces to hold everything down and that seemed to do the job.So overall, the sizing is really the top number and it form, anything less is pretty squishy or deflated significantly and needs to be modified (if possible) to get the desired firmness.
I bought this ball for exercise and for sitting on while working, and it's perfect. I'm just over five feet tall and got the 55 inch ball. It's sturdy, thick, and comfortable to sit on. I tried using it on tile and carpet for exercise and it seems to work well!Inflating: It came well packaged and with nozzles, a tool to remove the plug, and a pump. The pump isn't high end but it works well and was actually sort of fun to use, though the cat didn't appreciate the soft squeaking! It has a nozzle for inflating & deflating, which will be useful when I move. Other reviewers didn't enjoy the inflating experience, but it only took a couple of minutes, maybe less, and could be done with a foot or with two hands. Finally, it also came with a strip of paper to measure/determine the proper inflation. All told, I was using it a few minutes after pulling it out of the package.
Fast shipping. I ordered this as a chair for my office since I spend long hours sitting and I need something that will help me with my posture and lower back. This balancing (chair) ball seems to do the trick. At first I thought I received the wrong size. I ordered based on the measurement picture from the item profile--M, 48-55cm--but it looked smaller than I was expecting when I opened the box. The item also came with a manual pump, some plugs (including a little plastic thing to help you remove the plugs when you need to inflate/deflate later on) and a paper measuring tape with a hole on each end. I read other reviews and people were confused what to do with it but it's actually pretty simple. You basically pump air into the ball then when it gets big enough, you wrap the tape around the center and keep pumping air until the 2 holes at the ends of tape align with each other--that means you've reached the max and can stop pumping air. There's also instructions that tells you to pump a little bit and let the ball stay like that for a few hours to stretch out then you can pump to its max. After inflating it to 55cm, I realized it was the perfect size and height for my office table so I am pretty happy. There is also a 2 year warranty which is great!I've used this for 2 weeks now and I actually had to pump some air in it this morning. No holes--perhaps the ball is "stretching out" and I can pump more air in. It feels very sturdy and can hold my weight pretty well.
Received my balls today.. I ordered the 45 and 55. They were easy to inflate...packaging GM was simple to open.. it was slightly difficult to get the attachment on the blue hose opening, but not the red... I had to use the red to stretch the blue.. and the measurements are on point. The 45 went a little larger...Stability is great... I plan to order the extra large later for the office...I use the balls for sit ups and abdominal strengthening.
So most obvious - you can't beat the price! I had bought one that was close to 3 times the price to compare and they both performed as well. I am returning the $34.00 purchase. So here is what I learned:- You need to build your core and leg strength before you can use the ball all day for desk work - so don't give up (it took me about a month).-All legs are not the same length - I bought the first more expensive ball recommended for 5'4'' height (up to 60CM) and it just did not seem right for my legs, so I ordered a size up (this ball up to 80CM) and filled it to capacity. That was way to high but every day I let out some air until I got to a comfortable height for my legs.-I used it every day alternating between my wooden chair and the ball. Today I just realized that I was comfortable and my feet were flat on the ground and my shoulders were back for the first time (in jeans!)!-I am plus sized and it holds my weight (200+) nicely-blowing up any of these balls is a walk-out and takes a little time 9but the gadget they include works fine)-I recommend this ball for seating and/or exercise for all body types
